Heart of Idaho Adventure Motorcycle Ride

Hopefully you have made reservations at Challis Hot Springs and you have your Adventure Motorcycle or your Dual Sport ready go.  The first stop you want to make in the Challis area is the Land of the Yankee Fork State Park information located near the intersection of Highways 93 & 75. Visit the museum and visitor center, for guided and self-guided tours of Yankee Fork dredge, Sunbeam Dam, Challis Bison Kill Site, travel the Custer Motorway Adventure road and explore ghost towns of Custer. They have plenty of printed of material about the area. For those who want more of a single track experience you check out the Idaho Trail Mapping program

Livingston Mine / China Wall 46.4 miles one way

From Challis Hot Springs you will take you Hwy 75 to the East Fork Road which will take you to the Livingston mine. This will give you a spectacular view of the China Wall, The last mile or so past the mine can be challenging Livingston Mine / China Wall Google Map Livingston Mine / China Wall PDF

Twin Peaks Day Ride 31.8 miles one way.

Pinyon Peak 168 Mile Loop

This Loop will take your Adventure Motorcycle through Challis and on to the Historic Custer Motorway to the partially restored town of Custer. Get off and spend some time checking it out. Your next stop will be the Yankee Fork Dredge, another place you will want to visit. From the Dredge you will skirt the Frank Church Wilderness and eventually climb to Pinyon Peak at 9800 feet. Another 20 miles of dirt and you are back to pavement at Highway 21. Livingston Custer 146 mile Loop

This loop will take your Adventure Motorcycle on Hwy 75 to the East Fork Road which will take you to the Livingston mine. This will give you a spectacular view of the China Wall, The last mile or so past the mine can be challenging You will return to Highway 75 and go west to Sunbeam and take the Yankee Fork Road to the Yankee Fork Dredge.
