The panniers in our Scratch & Dent category are new or sometimes lightly used returns. Some panniers have slight scratches or dents, many of which are unnoticeable. Most will have been mis-drilled (ie. holes drilled for a particular application). All mis-drilled holes are covered with black vinyl decals, which are as dust and waterproof as the rest of the pannier. All panniers will be correctly drilled for your application. If you follow Tim's and Kurt's example the predrilled holes become a non-issue.

Kurt says: "Both Tim and I cover the entire face of the box (the side facing towards the bike)with gorilla tape. We like it, as it gives a uniform surface that protects the paint and provides a slight cushion against the SU rack."
